In addition to Keppel Shipyard's
achievements in FPSO and FSO
conversions, the yard has also
completed many other major conversion

vessels and reefer ships into
livestock carriers
- Expansion of a livestock
carrier's carrying capacity
- Conversion of whaling factory
ships to the world's largest
fish cannery vessels
- Conversion of a lay barge
into a derrick barge (with
pipe-laying capabilities and
3,000 tonnes of complete range
of sophisticated oil exploration
equipment)
- Conversion of the propulsion
system of drillships from
steam to diesel
- Conversion of a marine diesel-burning
main engine into residual
fuel system heavy lift crane
- Conversion of a drillship
into a drilling tender
- Conversion of an ore carrier
into a drillship
- Conversion of a cargo ship
to an offshore supply vessel
carrying cement and drill
pipes (including the installation
of a deck crane and helideck)
- Conversion of an ore bulk
carrier to a self unloading
vessel
One of Keppel Shipyard's track
record include the conversion
of Maysora, a container ship
into a fully outfitted livestock
carrier with a minimum carrying
capacity of 70,560 sheep and
5,640 cattle for Blue Ice Shipping
Corporation in 2001.

Da Gama

Another project is the
Vasco
Da Gama from Vasco
SA of Luxembourg in mid
2003. Amongst her conversion,
modification and installation
works done by Keppel Shipyard
improved her suction trailing
pipe for deep dredging
in water depths of 135
meters.
